
Charlotte Armstrong is a National Certified Counselor, National Certified School Counselor, and Licensed Social Worker. She previously served as a Child Protection Specialist with Mississippi Child Protection Services and currently serves as Alderwoman of Ward 6 in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Armstrong has earned multiple degrees from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), including her most recent degree, a Specialist Degree in Play Therapy.
She is a member of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), the Magnolia State School Counseling Association (MSSCA), and the Association for Play Therapy (APT). Through ASCA, Armstrong has earned multiple certifications, including School Counselor Leadership Specialist, Closing the Gap Specialist, Data Specialist, and Trauma-Informed Specialist. She was selected as the 2020–2021 Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA) Emerging Leader and SCUTA Ambassador, The School Counselor Advocate. More recently, she was named a Teach Plus Policy Fellow in Mississippi. In 2026, Armstrong was selected as a Crisis Network Recovery Member for the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB).
Armstrong is passionate about advancing equity in educational opportunities for minority students across Mississippi.
